Here's a very good "workhorse" Unlimited M1 Match Rifle in .308 caliber just waiting to go to a good new home. It was built several years ago and was shot at Camp Perry by it's previous owner three years running and scored very well.

As you can see it's not a fancy rifle, but it's rugged, reliable and very, very accurate as a good match rifle should be. It's got about 1500 rounds on it - just broken in by service rifle standards - and is mechanically perfect in all respects.

It is steel bedded and has all the accurizing work typical of a National Match Armory "Unlimited" M1 Match Rifle including 1/2-minute NM sights set up for a Bob Jones diopter. Barrel is a Citadel match-grade 4-groove 1-in-10 twist with military profile - a proven performer in years past - chambered to use either surplus or match ammo.

This rifle is in terrific condition with just a couple light bumps on the wood and a bit of shiny on the corners from good honest use.

$3250.00 - gently used, includes the Turner-made NMA sling and sight covers.

A very clean used NMA John C. Garand Match Rifle built several years ago with less than 500 rounds by the previous owner. Has a few tiny bumps from use but otherwise pristine with 99% of the finish remaining. "Just broken-in."

Barrel is a mint USGI original in .30-06 and the rest is pure National Match Armory craftsmanship. Was used at Camp Perry - trigger guard "tested" band is still in place.

Wood is upgraded to semi-fancy. This great M1 is completely legal for use in CMP John C. Garand "as-issued" competition matches.

$3395.00 - gently used, Turner-made NMA sling and sight covers included

Springfield Krag Sporter (SNXXXXXX)

We fell in love with this little sporter at a gun show several years ago, mostly because it is so typical of the better home-done hunting conversions which were very common at one time in our history. The rifle has been cut down to carbine length and a custom front sight added on. The stock is the original - complete with cartouche!!!! - to which has been added a rubber recoil pad and a custom pistol grip extension with grip cap and some fine kitchen table checkering. The scope mount is a Williams while the scope is a 4X J.C. Higgins from Sears (made for them by Weaver). It's still in the original .30-40 Gov't caliber and is a joy to shoot as well as being very accurate. The original metal and wood finish is very good, though worn from handling, and is just so rich with nostalgia and personality we hate to part with it. A fine addition to any collection and just the thing for an old-style hunting trip. $2695.

Springfield Krag XXX978 We put this rifle together from three separate Springfield/Krag sporter rifles, using all the best parts to create one very nice sporter rifle (it was already drilled when we got it, so no hate mail, please!). The original case color is still 98% on the receiver and the bore is excellent. It is still chambered in .30-40 Gov't caliber for soft recoil and good hunting accuracy. The beautiful sporter stock is a roll-over custom with a large hand grip and meaty overall dimensions, attractive and very comfortable to handle and shoot. The scope is a Weaver K4 in a Williams mount. The basic rifle was pristine when it was sporterized and is still in excellent overall condition. $2395.

This is a Springfield Armory(tm)-built M1 "Super Match"  from many years ago which has been languishing in my personal collection. It's virtually perfect. In fact, I've never fired it...and can't for the life of me remember why I bought it in the first place.

This rifle has been bedded and equipped with a Springfield Armory(tm) 6-groove military profile match barrel in .30-06 caliber and appears to never have been fired. Sights are 1/2-minute NM. Stock is a heavy profile walnut with unitized front hand guard.

SA 2463XXX Nice rifle. Time to go to a new owner. $2995.00
